A. I've been on several interview committees for my school district, and most of all they want to know that you want to work with their students. It is hard when you have no professional experience, but there were times we hired the most enthuiastic person and not the old professional who acted like they deserved the job. Questions they may ask you: WHY do you want to teach this particular class? **Do NOT give a personal answer like "more money," "better hours," etc. WHY should we hire you? Tell them your excitement for teaching and your craft. If this is in public ed, you may need to be prepared to answer questions on working with students with disabilities. Most of the other questions we asked were follow-up due to how people answered.… [cont.]
